Selling guide

Everything you need to sell your apps, templates and digital products on OfferBuggy.

1How it works

  1. Create a free account.
  2. Connect your own Stripe account and get verified.
  3. Set up your storefront and add your first deal. We review it.
  4. Buyers pay you directly through Stripe and download the product automatically.

2Connect Stripe and get verified

From your dashboard, click Connect Stripe. Stripe asks for your identity, business details and bank account. Once Stripe verifies you, your profile and listings show a green check and you can start listing.

  • You can use an existing Stripe account or create a new one.
  • If Stripe later needs more information, your listings are hidden until it's fixed. You'll get a notification in your inbox with a link.

3Set up your storefront

Your storefront is your shop window on OfferBuggy, at your own link. Add a real photo or logo, a cover image, a one-line headline, a short bio and links to your website or socials. Feature up to 3 of your best listings at the top.

4Create a listing

  • Title and summary: say plainly what it is and who it's for.
  • Offer price and regular price: in US dollars. The regular price is what customers normally pay; your offer must be at least 10% (5% when the regular price is $100 or more) lower. Add proof of the regular price (a link to your website, menu or booking page, or a photo of your price list) and confirm you'll honor the offer. We check it before approving.
  • Photos: real screenshots of your product, your business or your work. No stock photos of other products, and no badges, ribbons, stars, check marks or OfferBuggy symbols drawn on them. OfferBuggy adds earned badges itself; see the rules on badges.
  • Description, highlights and fine print: what's included, requirements (e.g. PHP 8, WordPress 6), what's not included, and your support and refund terms.
  • Product file (zip, pdf and similar, up to 100 MB) or a private access link. Buyers get it only after paying.
  • License: choose what buyers can do with it. See Licenses.
  • Live demo (optional): after saving, add the TXT record we show you to your demo site's DNS and press Check now for a verified demo mark.
  • Rights: confirm you created the product or have the right to resell it.

5Selling services and local deals

Businesses can sell services (for example web design or repairs) and local deals (food, beauty, fitness, things to do, auto and home) as vouchers.

  • Choose Services or Local deals as the listing type, and add your business address, how long the voucher is valid (30 to 730 days) and How to use steps.
  • Use real photos of your business, food or work.
  • Each sale creates a voucher with a unique code and QR code. When the customer comes in, open Redeem vouchers in your dashboard (or scan their QR code with your phone while signed in) and press Mark as used.
  • You must honor every valid voucher until its expiry date. If you can't, refund it from Stripe.

6Review

Every new listing and every edit is reviewed before it goes live, usually within 24 hours. We check:

  • the product file for viruses,
  • the file for signs of a resold or pirated product (for example marketplace license files or "nulled" code),
  • that the description and screenshots match the product,
  • that the offer is real: a checked regular price and at least the minimum discount,
  • that photos and text carry no OfferBuggy badges, check marks or symbols you haven't earned,
  • that it follows the Marketplace rules.

If something needs fixing we send it back with a reason, and you can edit and resubmit.

7Fees

  • Listing is free.
  • Your first sale is free. After that OfferBuggy's fee is 10% of each sale, taken automatically at checkout.
  • Stripe's card processing fees (in the US about 2.9% + 30¢ per card payment) are paid from your Stripe balance.

Example on a $100 sale after your first: OfferBuggy fee $10, Stripe fee about $3.20, you receive about $86.80.

8New seller limits

Until you have 3 completed sales without a buyer report, you can list items priced up to $200. After that, the limit is removed automatically.

10Delivery and updates

Delivery is automatic: buyers get a download page and an email right after paying. To ship an update, edit the listing and upload the new file; past buyers get the latest version from their order link. Edits go through review again.

11Support and refunds

  • You're the seller of record, so you handle buyer questions and support. Buyers message you from the listing or their order, and it arrives in your Inbox.
  • Refund from your Stripe dashboard. When you refund, OfferBuggy automatically returns its fee for the refunded amount.
  • You must refund when a product isn't as described, doesn't work and can't be fixed, or wasn't delivered. You can offer more generous refunds; write them in your fine print.

12Taxes

Because buyers pay you directly, you're responsible for any sales tax, VAT or income tax on your sales. Stripe sends you the tax forms for your payments, and Stripe Tax can calculate and collect sales tax for you if you turn it on in Stripe. OfferBuggy reports only its own fee.

13Reports, chargebacks and holds

  • Buyers can report a problem within 14 days of purchase. You'll get a notification; message the buyer and resolve it quickly.
  • Two open reports or any chargeback pauses your listings until OfferBuggy reviews them.
  • Chargebacks are handled in your Stripe dashboard, where you can submit evidence.

14Tips for listings that sell

  • Show the real product in the first screenshot.
  • Add a live demo and verify it.
  • Be specific about what's included and what isn't.
  • Answer buyer questions quickly; they arrive in your Inbox.
