Deal badges

Some deals carry a small badge, like OB Picked or Best Seller. Badges are earned, not bought or typed in: sellers can't add a badge to their own listing. Here is what each one means and exactly how a deal gets it.

1Why you can trust them

  • Earned from real data. Best Seller, Top Rated, Big Save and New are worked out automatically from real paid orders, checked prices and listing dates. Nobody types them in.
  • Sellers can't add or edit badges. There is no badge field on the listing form, and the Marketplace rules forbid putting badges, check marks or OfferBuggy symbols on photos or anywhere else in a listing. Listings that do are sent back.
  • They go away when they stop being true. Badges are checked again all the time. If a deal stops selling, its price goes up or it gets older, the badge disappears by itself.
  • One badge per deal. If a deal qualifies for more than one, we show the most important (in the order on this page), so badges stay meaningful instead of covering every card.
  • Every deal is still reviewed. A badge is extra information on top of OfferBuggy's review, virus scan and price check that every listing goes through.

2OB Picked

What it means: the OfferBuggy team looked at this deal and recommends it.

How it's earned: chosen by hand by OfferBuggy. We look for a real, clearly-explained discount, a seller with a good record, real photos and a product or service we'd be happy to send a friend to. OB Picked deals also appear on the home page.

When it goes away: we remove it if the deal changes, the seller gets buyer reports, or we pick something better.

Why it matters: it's the only badge a person decides, so it's the strongest recommendation we give.

3Best Seller

What it means: this is the most-bought deal in its category right now.

How it's earned: automatically, when a deal has the most paid orders in its category over the last 30 days, with at least 3 sales. Refunded orders don't count.

When it goes away: as soon as another deal in the category sells more, or sales drop below 3 in 30 days.

Why it matters: it shows what other buyers actually chose and paid for, not what a seller says.

4Top Rated

What it means: buyers who paid for this deal rate it highly.

How it's earned: automatically, with an average of 4.5 stars or more from at least 5 reviews. Only buyers who paid can review, once per order, and for vouchers only after using them. Sellers can't remove or edit reviews.

When it goes away: as soon as the average drops below 4.5.

Why it matters: it comes from real customers, not from the seller or from OfferBuggy.

5Big Save

What it means: you pay half the regular price or less.

How it's earned: automatically, when the offer is 50% or more below the regular price. The seller has to prove the regular price (a link to their own website, menu or price list), and OfferBuggy checks it before the deal goes live, so the discount is real.

When it goes away: if the offer price goes up or the discount drops below 50%.

Why it matters: inflated "was" prices aren't allowed on OfferBuggy, so a Big Save is a genuinely big saving.

6New

What it means: the deal went live in the last 7 days.

How it's earned: automatically, from the date OfferBuggy approved it.

When it goes away: after 7 days.

7Other trust marks

  • Green check next to a seller: Stripe verified the seller's identity and bank details.
  • Regular price verified: OfferBuggy checked the seller's proof of the regular price.
  • Check on the Live demo button: the seller proved they own the demo website.
